Ian Somerhalder: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Heads Back To Film TVD Season 6 In Atlanta, Georgia With Girlfriend Nikki Reed

Couple Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are currently inseparable. "The Vampire Diaries" actor was spotted kissing the forehead of his new girlfriend at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, Oct. 10, before heading back to Atlanta, Georgia together.

According to a Mail Online report, the 35-year-old heartthrob actor returns to the TVD set to film his scenes as Damon Salvatore for the sixth season of the CW TV series. The report further noted that the couple could be in a hurry to catch their flight to Atlanta because the 26-year-old "Twilight" actress had no time to change the outfit that she wore during the "Lifetime and Variety's Power of Women Luncheon" at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel.

Nikki Reed was photographed still wearing a white Etro jacket and a black Stop Staring dress paired with a two-tone Kurt Geiger shoes while she pulled her luggage at the airport. As for Ian Somerhalder, the CW star wore a grey shirt, a black leather jacket, jeans, black lace-ups, a grey trilby hat and shades while holding his girlfriend's pet dog, Ira. The new couple was first spotted together back in July during an outing at a farmers market in Los Angeles. Then, Ian and Nikki flaunted major public display of affection at different Hollywood events and social media sites.

Aside from sharing a house in Los Angeles, the Mail Online report further revealed that Nikki Reed already moved in the TVD star's home in Atlanta. Meanwhile, a Hollywood Life report speculates Nikki Reed's presence on the "Vampire Diaries" set could make things awkward between Ian Somerhalder and co-star and ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev, who portrays Damon's lady love Elena Gilbert.

It is expected that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will continue to work together for some scenes in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 even though Elena Gilbert's memory currently sees Damon Salvatore as Stefan's (Paul Wesley) brother and a monster that died. The TVD actor even teased in a previous report that his vampire character's driving force in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is his love for Elena.

"He'll go through every length to make that happen. It's a driving force in his life. Damon doesn't give a s--t about very much except his home, his brother, and his girl," Somerhalder stated. Fans can watch Ian Somerhalder as bad boy vampire Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 which airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
