Ian Somerhalder: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Reacts to Hitting 10 Million Facebook Page Likes
"Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder recently shared on Twitter about a social media accomplishment that left him amazed and inspired. Ian, 35, excitedly revealed that his Facebook page got 10 million likes and this stirred him up more to use social networking sites in influencing people to make a change.
The TVD star told the millions of followers on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder that the Ian Somerhalder Facebook page just hit 10 million likes and described the achievement to be amazing. Ian Somerhalder's official Facebook page is being used for the actor's personal and work related updates like promoting the hit CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries" and his foundation, the Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF). The TV actor sees the 10 million Facebook hits as 10 million catalysts that can help him in changing the world.

According to the Wet Paint report, Ian Somerhalder shares this accomplishment with Oliver Luckett, the person in charge of the actor's social media account. Last February, Oliver and Ian were featured in PBS' Frontline special on "Generation Like" and at the time of filming, Ian Somerhalder only had 6.3 million friends.
"We're looking at the live numbers of the show, and what you guys have created has a higher number value than actually the viewership of The Vampire Diaries or the United States. It's just crazy to me," Ian, who was blown away with the numbers, told Mr Luckett.
