Ian Somerhalder: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Shares Photo Of His Valentine's Day Celebration At The Beach With Fiancée Nikki Reed On Instagram

Actor Ian Somerhalder recently shared on social media where he spent Valentine’s Day with fiancée Nikki Reed. The 36-year-old “Vampire Diaries” star posted on Instagram an image of himself and the “Twilight” actress on their Valentine’s Day celebration at the beach.

According to a Mail Online report, the couple both shared images of their beach vacation during Valentine’s Day in Aruba to their followers on Instagram. “Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I used to think this Day was a conspiracy of chocolatiers and florists but I realize that taking a day out of our busy lives to celebrate the love in our lives is so important and should be every day,” Somerhalder posted on his Instagram account iansomerhalder on Sunday, Feb. 15, as a caption to the shared image. Ian Somerhalder wanted his fans to celebrate the love in their lives and enjoy the special because it is what makes the world go around. Then, the TVD actor expressed gratitude to the fans who keep giving him and Nikki love and support.

The beach holiday in Aruba, which is the couple’s first trip after confirming their engagement, was reportedly Ian’s gift to the 26-year-old actress while she was attending the Sundance Film Festival last January.

An E!Online report claims that actress Nikki Reed was spotted and photographed flashing the engagement ring that Ian Somerhalder gave her. “The center stone appears to be a four carat round diamond, which is flanked by large round diamonds for a floral shape. The setting is an antique style,” Morgan Shara of Masbisjux Jewelry shared to the entertainment website.

Morgan Shara further added that the estimated price of the engagement ring at $75,000 could still go up depending on the clarity of the stones on the ring. The report further noted down that no date has been confirmed yet on Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s upcoming wedding ceremony.
