Elyjah Marrow, the grandson of popular rapper and actor Ice T, has been arrested. The arrest reportedly follows an incident where a gun accidently went off, killing his roommate. He has reportedly been charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm.

According to a report by TMZ, the gun accidentally went off when Ice T's grandson was playing around with a loaded gun in his Georgia apartment. The bullet hit his roommate Daryus Johnson. Both the boys are said to be 19 years old.

Elyjah Marrow is also reportedly charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. His roommate was unconscious when the police arrived. The boy was later brought to Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Marrow is currently in custody and is being held in the Cobb County Jail. His father has reportedly expressed his shock and disbelief at the news. So far there has been no statement from Ice T. The boy featured regularly on his grandfather's TV reality show, "Ice Loves Coco."

"Ice Loves Coco" is a reality show starring Ice T and his wife Coco Austin. The show first aired in 2011. The show has seen a total of three seasons. The show takes the viewers inside the life of the popular rapper and his wife and lets viewers share in their adventures.

The shooting incident may be particularly relevant to Ice T due to his stated position on gun control laws. The rapper is reportedly against gun control and made comments against gun control after the tragic 2012 Aurora shooting.

The news of Elyjah Marrow accidentally shooting his roommate has shocked many people on the social media. Many did not know that Ice T had a teenage grandson. The news along with the Mug Shot of the 19 year old are being shared online.

Marrow's mother reportedly described him as doing great in school. He was said to be doing well in football and getting good grades in school. Friends of Daryus Johnson are also expressing their grief online and sending out prayers to his friends and family.
