If Auckland Has Roast Busters, Montgomery Has Appraiser Who Targets Drunken Young Men Via Beer Pong Tournaments (VIDEOS)
If Auckland, New Zealand, has its notorious Roast Busters Facebook group whose young male members allegedly rape underage and drunken girls, his version in Montgomery is a male real estate appraiser.
While he also targets drunken victims, suspect Joey Poindexter, 38, hits on young males, not females, while taking part in beer pong tournaments in local bars.

Montgomery Police said Mr Poindexter bought the young men he met in bars to his home where he assaults them. He picks them up in beer pong tournaments where contestants attempt to toss table tennis balls into cups partly filled with water or beer. The participants often end the game inebriated.
But when played at bars, its rules are similar to dart. In some areas, there are weekly tournaments, and in Maryland, a state championship. It was while competing on these organised tournaments that Mr Poindexter met at least 3 of his victims.

One victim, recalled to the police that he went to Looney's Pub in College Park and played beer pong. He met Mr Poindexter who bought him a Long Island Iced Tea. After drinking the mixed beverage, he was surprised to wake up the next morning in a house in Gauthersburg wearing black Nike shorts and lying on a sofa beside the man he met.
Based on the police complaint, authorities entrapped Mr Poindexter, who admitted to having sex with the complainant.
So far, the police have identified 10 victims, all heterosexuals and never had consensual sex with another male, until Mr Poindexter came, said Montgomery County Assistant Police Chief Russ Hamill.
He added that Mr Poindexter could have been victimising drunken or perhaps drugged young men the past 10 years. The accused has been detained in Montgomery jail since Tuesday.
However, unlike the Roast Busters, he does not publish the names of his victims on social media or boast of his crime.
