IFC's 'Spoils of Babylon' Premiere: See Will Ferrell’s Dollar Bill Suit
Wearing a flashy dollar bill suit, Will Ferrell showed up to the Los Angeles premiere of his new show "The Spoils of Babylon" in style together with the rest of the cast. IFC's newest show "The Spoils of Babylon" is an oddball comedy mini-series with ensemble cast including Kristen Wiig, Tobey Maguire and Tim Robbins.
Wearing the same outfit from his MTV Movie Awards appearance, Ferrell is the producer and star of the new high-profile series. "This is something I had made," says Ferrell to ZAP2it. "I can't even tell you [where I got it]. I wish I could. There is a tailor, his name is Cash Money and he only makes suits that are currency."
SNL Alum Kristin Wiig is suitably dressed for the premiere; she looked pretty in a black number that features a pink and mustard yellow pattern. Co-star Tobey Maguire and Haley Joel Osment opted for sleek suits for the premiere.
Funny and daring, the six-part series premiered on Thursday night on IFC with two half-hour episodes that feature a broad parody of those over blown mini-series of yore. The show features the lives of affluent clans that despite of their vapid existence lays a life that is full of steamy melodramatics.
Ferrel plays fictional "Spoils of Babylon" author Eric Jonrosh as he claims that the novel is his masterpiece that is only being released now. Tim Robbins plays Jonas Morehouse, the patriarch of an oil-rich clan and Kristin Wiig plays his daughter Cynthia.
Other stars in the series includes Haley Joel Osment as Winston, Cynthia's evil son, Micheal Sheen as Cynthia's husband, Chet Halner, Jelly Howie as Marianne Morehouse, Philip Wampler as the young Devon Morehouse, Val Kilmer as the United States Army general and Steve Tom as General Maddoxton.
"Spiderman" star Tobey Maguire plays Devon, a young man whom Jonas found on the side of the road and welcomes him into the family as a son. The 22-hour series follows the exploits of Devon, his step-sister who lust for him and the father who adopted him.
"The Spoils of Babylon" premieres on IFC on Jan. 9 at 10 p.m.
