It will be in the near future that real life best friends Rihanna and Katy Perry will soon do a collaborative project, a song that they would release together - but both are still too busy to work on it yet.

According to an interview of Rihanna with Access Hollywood, it has been several years already that they have been planning to work on such an idea. She admits that she is a personal fan of Katy and also one of her most favoured artists in the industry.

It still may not happen right now, but for sure, the singer claims, that the most awaited song that they will do together will soon come out. If you are a fan of both, then you would remember wel that Rihanna was even the one who organized the bachelorette party of the 'California Gurls' star before she tied the knot then with Russell Brand.

The rumours about this collaboration started way back during the release of the 'Loud' album of Rihanna but there was no song that appeared on its tracks. In the meantime, the two are both working on getting into the movie industry with 'Battleship' as the upcoming movie of Rihanna while Katy Perry recently became a guest for 'Raising Hope' and will move on working on her approved 3D movie.

The most recent collaborations of Rihanna was with her controversial ex-boyfriend Chris Brown for 'Birthday Cake' and also on Brown's song called 'Turn Up The Music.' After their domestic violence issues before, there are lots of rumours spreading now that the two are back together.

Katy Perry is set to release her 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection' album this March 26.
