Inception and Star Trek Nemesis star Tom Hardy is reported to have been cast in a major role in the still untitled Batman movie again to be directed by Christopher Nolan. Hardy and Nolan had previously worked together in the box office hit, Inception.

At present, Hardy is filming for the romantic action-comedy This Means War opposite Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and Star Trek's Chris Pine. He wll also be seen in the upcoming thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy which had just wrapped up filming.

Hardy was set to star in Mad Max: Fury Road, but the filming for the movie in Australia is at present, in hiatus. He was last seen in another Christopher Nolan-directed film Inception, which earned $289 million in the United States alone.

Hardy's role in the new Batman film is yet to be identified, so speculations are expected to be ripe. Heckler Sprey thinks that Hardy will play a villain in the the sequel.

"There's no word on who Hardy will be playing, but after his turn as Charles Bronson, it's hard to imagine him in any role that doesn't require him to be a bit of a mental. And he sure as hell won't be Robin," says the Gossip for Grown Up website.

Still, whether Hardy plays a villain or Batman's sidekick, fans would sure be glad that he is reunited with director Christopher Nolan. After Inception, moviegoers want the two to make cinema magic once again.
