Inside Adam Scott's Secret Wedding to Marie Kojzar
Australian golfer marries long-time girlfriend Marie Kojzar.
It seems like working as a nanny for a top golfer is the best way to end up marrying one. After the infamous but now divorced Elin Nordegren who was married to Tiger Woods, another Swedish former nanny has gotten hitched with a top pro.
Australian golfer Adam Scott has married his long-time girlfriend Marie Kojzar on April 17 at his Bahamas home. The milestone came a week after the US Masters. The two dated for several years in the 2000s before splitting up and reuniting in 2013. During their split, Scott had other relationships notably with tennis superstar Anna Ivanovic and was also linked to Hollywood actress Kate Hudson.
There was no official engagement.
"We just decided to get on with it, we've known each other long enough, let's go and jump right in the deep end," said scott.
Only a few friends and family were present during the private ceremony.
"Obviously there are a lot of people we would have liked to have had there who weren't but we decided to have a very low key affair," added Scott.
Kojzar and Scott reunited before Scott claimed the Masters in 2013 and got married a year later. Many people believed Scott to be a bachelor because Kojzar was a very private person. Other than having worked as a nanny for Swedish pro Thomas Bjorn, which was how she met Scott, the only details about Kojzar that are known are that she is now an interior decorator and architect.
According to Scott, the bride wore a 'non-traditional' dress while he wore a suit with bow tie.
"She doesn't need a traditional wedding dress to look so beautiful. We dressed up a little bit but it was still in the backyard. It's official, I am a settled down man and very happy," said Scott.
