'Insurgent' Movie Plot Details: Ansel Elgort to Darker Role, Relationship With Beatrice to Change
With "Divergent" proving to be a box office success and "Insurgent" already in the production, a lot of buzz has been generated about Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Ansel Elgort. Much recently Elgort gave a sneak peek into his character suggesting that his character is most likely to change in "Insurgent" and even the dynamics of his relationship with Woodley's character would alter.
"It is like Divergent but a little bit darker and less introductory," said Elgort in his interview to Hollywoodlife, adding, "It is more about the characters and now Beatrice (Shailene Woodley) is more badass so she is going to kick ass a little bit more and there will be a lot more stunts."
He even hinted that his character Caleb would be darker than before.
"Caleb gets a little darker. The relationship between Caleb and Beatrice, you know, they butt heads a little bit," said Elgort further. "It is an interesting movie. I shoot three times as many days in this movie (as I did in Divergent), so I will be around a lot more."
Elgort has reportedly got more screen time in the film than he got in "Divergent." Meanwhile, the "Insurgent" trailer is yet to be released. It has been reported that the trailer would come along with the trailer of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" on Nov. 21.
In other news concerning, Elgort, he would be seen playing the role of Tim Mooney in a new film called "Men, Women and Children." The film focuses on how people communicate and how it affects the people around. The film is based on the novel of same name and highlights the dynamic of relationships based in the burgeoning world of the Internet.
The film has been directed by Jason Reitman of "Juno" and "Up in the Air" fame. Apart from Elgort, the cast of the film includes Jennifer Garner, Adam Sandler, Emma Thompson, Judy Greer and Dean Norris. "Men, Women and Children" would premiere next month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
