‘The Intern’ star Anne Hathaway expecting first child with husband Adam Shulman
Academy-award winning actress Anne Hathaway has been reportedly expecting her first child with husband Adam Shulman.
A source confirmed the development to E! News on Saturday. According to the source, Hathaway is excited about her pregnancy and future role as a mom.
“Anne [Hathaway] is in her second trimester and feeling great,” the source said.
The “Les Miserables” actress was spotted in all black outfit sporting a baby bump with her husband in Beverly Hills earlier this week, E! News reported. Hathaway’s pregnancy speculation started swirling in September during the premiere of her film “The Intern” in London. The actress was photographed in fuller figure along her husband at the time.
In 2012, the 33-year-old actress married her husband and producer Shulman, 34 after dating for four years. The same year, the actress told The Telegraph that she has always wanted to be a mother.
“I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was 16. I’m 30 and I want to have a family of a certain size,” she said.
The actress also revealed that she first plans to raise kids of her own and then adopt a child. She continued, “I gotta get on it, you know? I’d like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special,” she explained.
Hathaway is one of the Hollywood celebrities who thought about an adoption. Several female stars , including Sandra Bullock, Madonna, Viola Davis, Julie Andrews and Angelina Jolie, have already adopted children.
Talking about her goals, the actress admitted that she planned to “get a movie” but it all changed to “get a baby” when she married Shulman.
Hathaway is famous for her roles as Mia Thermopolis in “The Princess Diaries” and Andy Sachs in the 2006 hit movie “The Devil Wears Prada.” Her other famous films include “Bride Wars,” “Becoming Jane” and “Ella Enchanted.”
