The selection process for the 18th Edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE 2010 has began. Artists can now submit their films and music videos.

PLUS CAMERIMAGE is the biggest international film festival focused on the creation of film image by cinematographers. The aim of the competitions as part of the Festival is to present films and music videos ofhigh visual values. The presented works will be judged by panels of international Jury. The festival will be held on November 7 to December 4, 2010.

The 18th Edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE 2010 this year has been moved

to Bydgoszcz, from the city of Lodz, Poland due to conflict with local authorities in the city.

Plus Camerimage Director Marek Zydowicz said: "We have analyzed a dozen or so venues that could serve as a Festival Center. The venue that meets our expectations and the requirements of the Festival best is Opera Nova in the City of Bydgoszcz [bid-goshch]."

"We are convinced that the building of Opera Nova, the thriving cultural milieu of the city and the support from the city's authorities will allow us to bring to you the Plus Camerimage 2010 at a high standard of both the program and organization."

The Festival's program will include:

  • Main Competition (fiction films),
  • Student Etudes Competition (fiction etudes)
  • Polish Films Competition under the patronage of Plus network operator (fiction films)
  • Documentary Films Competition under the patronage of Discovery Networks
  • Central Europe:Short Films - up to 60 minutes running time
  • Feature Length Films - more than 60 minutes running time
  • Music Videos Competition
