'Interstellar' Details: Christopher Nolan Keeps A Close Guard, Matthew McConaughey Gets The Script In A Briefcase To Prevent Plot Leaks
The "Interstellar" script was reportedly delivered to the lead actor Matthew McConaughey in a locked briefcase. The film, which is set for release on November 5, is being guarded carefully to avoid plot leaks, and director Christopher Nolan has made sure that the script is kept in tight security until the film's release.
According to Page Six, Matthew McConaughey received the script in a locked briefcase while he was shooting for "True Detective." Afterward, Matthew went and returned the briefcase to Nolan.
"Interstellar" is one of the most awaited films of the year, mostly because it stars Matthew McConaughey who has emerged as a powerful actor since the release of "Dallas Buyers Club" and crime series " True Detective." Moreover, Nolan is known for his master directing skills, which he dexterously displyed in the "Dark Knight" Batman trilogy.
"Nolan's films have had that for a while, and this is the most ambitious film he has ever done. He's going for it, and the whole cast is pretty doggone strong," says McConaughey to USA Today. "But me being in it, because of the last couple of years, that is perceived as a pedigree."
Though the trailer of the film has already been released, very little is known about its plot. It is Nolan who doesn't want his actors to reveal any details about the film, according to reports.
As far as Matthew's character goes, it is known that he plays a widowed father and former NASA pilot. His character is called Cooper and he would go on a mission to save the humanity, which is at peril due to deteriorating environmental conditions.
"Interstellar" has already gathered award buzz and is considered a major runner for the Oscars. "This is the first time I have had expectations going into a film. This one, the studio is behind it," McConauhey further said actor about the film.
