Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) is not your typical rockstar who wears heavy make-up and tattoos. Photographed by Terry Richardson, the controversial singer/actor opens up about his music, his views about religion, his dad and his new album in the latest cover issue of Paper.

“I had a real hard-on against organized religion,” he told the publication as he recalled the year where he got a platinum for his “Antichrist Superstar” LP in 1996. "I don't think that's gone away, but I express it differently. I know 100 percent that there is a cause and effect to every action you do and freedom of speech does not come with a dental plan."

He also admitted that he believes in things that is beyond his understanding: like aliens, angels and demons. He even revealed that while making his new album, “The Pale Emperor,” he was staying in a house where the door shuts down without anyone closing it and would hear things bouncing from upstairs. Like a hardcore rockstar, he is not afraid of ghost and believe in déjà vu, alchemy and astral projection.

He also talked about the song “Odds of Even” from his new album which he dedicated to his mother who died in May 2014. His mother, Barbara Warner, has been suffering from dementia and the song came from her death which remind Manson that “you die alone.”

Now closer to his family, the “Sons of Anarchy” star was photographed bonding with his father (Hugh Warner) during his Paper photoshoot. His recent stint with the FX biker series was dedicated to his dad who loved the show. Manson played the white supremacist Ron Tully who killed Juice Ortiz (Theo Rossi) in the show’s final and seventh season.

The father and son was featured in the magazine with Manson’s father wearing his signature make-up and black outfit. From white powder to red lips and smuddy dark eyes, the older Warner mimics his son’s to a T. Richardson even captured a moment where Manson was covering his face in seeming embarrassment as his father grabs his crotch.
