iPhone 4S Users Continue To Face Problems With the iOS 7- Possible Solutions To the Battery Drain
The iOS 7 update came with a few iPhone users complaining about the problems they encounter with the new operating system. The iPhone 4S users were the worst affected by the update experiencing battery problems and Wi-Fi issues.
iPhone 4S users have been complaining about the fast battery drain after the iOS 7 update. The problem may not be in their phones as they claimed that the battery was fine with the iOS 6.
Some users also complain that the Wi-Fi option on the iPhone 4S settings app becomes unavailable with the iOS 7 update. Many users believe that the problem may be caused by overheating due to the long running Wi-Fi process.
Some users have chosen to get their iPhone 4S replaced with a refurbished device in good working condition to overcome such problems. Some users think that Apple should not be rolling out new operating systems for the sake of an update if it does not really enhance the user's experience.
However, many of the Apple customers using the latest iPhone devices have not experienced such problems and are quite content with their devices. The short shelf-life of smartphones may prompt users to replace their older smartphones more quickly.
Some users believe that the issue of the battery drain in the iPhone 4S and the Wi-Fi option becoming unavailable may be related. Some of the users who are using a 3G Wi-Fi router in their house may experience a much faster battery drain.
Although there is no confirmation that the cause of the problem is the Wi-Fi router, some users said unplugging the Wi-Fi router in their house has helped solve the problem of battery drain in the iPhone 4S.
Other solutions to the problem include reinstalling the iOS 7 and disabling the apps not being frequently used. Some users prefer to go back to the iOS 6 and avoid the problems altogether while others take their phones to the nearest Apple store and let the experts handle the issue.
Upgrading to a newer iPhone may not be an option for many and spending more money for a refurbished iPhone may also not be very appealing. Not all iPhone 4S users face this problem though and as such users count themselves lucky for not experiencing the problem.
