iPhone 5s release date and specs rumours are making waves online. Many iOS phone users are eager to find out as much "information" as possible on their potential upgrade. If you currently have the iPhone 5, which is the latest handset from Apple, there are several reasons why you do not really need an upgrade. Most of these reasons, you already know. As for the other reasons, you are probably trying to ignore them because you simply must have the next iPhone.

Here are five of the reasons why you don't need the iPhone 5S (assuming you have the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5):

a. You're a light-to-mid-range user. Pragmatic shoppers will tell you the next phone upgrade may be the most unnecessary thing for you right now. If you barely use your iPhone except for making calls, sending texts, mobile browsing and occasionally checking your calendar, you don't really need any phone specs bump. You certainly don't need the latest, most expensive iOS handset.

b. Your iPhone's battery life does not pose problems. Mobile users who upgrade typically do so to put an end to repeated battery problems. If your battery life reconciles with your phone use, you're doing fine.

c. You don't care about the iPhone fad. Early adopters of the latest iPhone are called Apple fans. The label may sound unfair, but for others, there is simply no other truth. If you're not a fan, then you don't have to follow the iPhone fad.

d. You (probably) want to use your disposable income for traveling. If you are shopping for a phone, you probably have some disposable income (or the ability to pay additional monthly bills). But instead of getting the upcoming iPhone 5S, why not use your spare cash for some travel adventures, instead?

e. You don't need it and you know it. This reason should be enough for you to know you should not even be considering getting the iPhone 5S when it comes out. But if you must have it, then at least sell your current handset for a good price.
