When reports about iPhone 6 Bendgate started spreading like wildfire on social sites, Apple responded by telling the media not to blow the 'Bendgate' issue out of proportion. According to another 9to5mac's report, the bent iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets can be covered under warranty and replaced if the device passes a test called "Visual Mechanical Inspection." If the issue meets the guidelines of the Visual Mechanical Inspection, the device will be replaced free of charge, or otherwise, the customer will have to spend for a replacement handset. This is not an official statement from Apple but it was something that was revealed by one of the AppleCare representatives.
