Samsung recently unveiled its latest flagship, the Galaxy S5. It is a big release as it has been compared with the iPhone 6 throughout. As the details and specs of the Apple iPhone 6 is yet to be revealed, this comparison will be based on rumours.

Design

The Samsung S5 does not have any huge changes in terms of design. As the screen has been increased a bit only as compared to its predecessor, the body work has expanded a little in all directions. The corners are squarer but looks like round in shape and are surrounded with silver plastic ridged texture. The back of the device has a panel with matte finish and dimpled texture.

Apple's iPhone 6 is anticipated to have curved edges instead of its traditional straight edge design. It will also sport the power button on the right panel of the device rather than on top panel which is seen on current iPhones. Further, an updated modified volume buttons are placed on the side panels.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy S5 screen size has been increased to 5.1 inches and features Super AMOLED with a full HD 1920 X 1080 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 430 pixels ppi. It delivers sharp image quality which further delivers great colour, brightness and contrast.

Rumours suggest that iPhone wil come up with two of its variants, one with 4.7 inch and the other with 5.5 inches. It will be thinner than the Galaxy S5 measuring 7mm in thickness. Also, it has been reported that one of the model would come with a 960 x 1704 pixel resolution screen.

Storage

The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with 16GB and 32GB internal memory storage and can be expanded by up to 128GB using a microSD card. Whereas, the iPhone 6 will share the same storage capacity of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. There is a possibility that the device offers an expandable storage of 128GB just like its competitors.

Processor

Samsung is fuelled by a 2.5GHz quad core Krait 400 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2GB of RAM and an updated Adreno 330 GPU. Apple seems to be including a new chip termed as 'A7X or A8' which is twice as fast as the previous one.

Battery

Samsung sports a very powerful battery at 2800mAh which can take up to 21 hours of talk time. Apple claims to have solar panels inside the Sapphire Glass display which means it will charge automatically using the sun's energy.
