The latest iPhone ad goes viral with Siri and renowned film director Martin Scorsese.

"Siri helps Mr. Scorsese change up his jam-packed schedule on the fly," says the YouTube description of the video.

Scorsese, 69, is a renowned film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. He has worked on legendary films "Mean Streets" (1973), "Taxi Driver" (1976), "Raging Bull" (1980), and Goodfellas (1990).

Actor Robert De Niro, Scorsese's close friend, has worked with Scorsese in these projects.

Scorsese won the Academy Award for Best Director for "The Departed" in 2006. He had been previously nominated five times for the category.

Siri's celebrity friends

In contrast, Siri herself is not doing bad in mainstream media appearances. She is busy making some famous friends. The virtual assistant has previously cooked with Samuel L. Jackson, hung out with Zooey Deschanel and exchanged banters with John Malkovich.

In an episode of the CBS hit show "The Big Bang Theory," Raj (Kunal Nayyar) was seen to be smitten over Siri's voice. Raj appeared to have fallen in love with Siri until his fear of talking to girls haunted him in the middle of a sweet and funny dream.

Siri and Mr Scorsese

In the latest iPhone ad, Siri is on board a cab with Mr Scorsese, who happens to be a native New Yorker.

Scorsese and Siri were riding through the busy New York streets when the VA announced the director is going to have "another busy day."

"Are you serious?" Scorsese asks.

"Yes, I'm not allowed to be frivolous," Siri replies.
