Irina Shayk Chooses Career Over BF Cristiano Ronaldo’s World Cup Tour
While her long-time boyfriend Cristiano Ronaldo continues his World Cup tour, Irina Shayk has opted to stay in in the U.S. to attend to her work commitments. Irina can certainly deal with Ronaldo's insane World Cup schedule because she's also busy with her career.
Reportedly, Irina gets busy with her work in New York and Los Angeles, so she was not in attendance when Portugal lost to Germany in the Group G opener in the 2014 World Cup on June 16. In fact, the day that Portugal suffered its fourth defeat against the Germans, Irina was spotted hailing a taxi cab in New York's West Village. She looked stunningly simple but still pretty in a casual outfit of loose black sleeveless shirt and ripped jeans.
Recently, the 28-year-old was also seen in Manhattan while shooting an advertisement for Nokia.
Irina has been in a relationship with Ronaldo for since 2010, but she is not just the girlfriend of the world's greatest footballer. Irina is a celebrity in her own right. She isn't simply eye-candy because she is making names for herself and not only as a footballer's WAG. Irina has appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues in the last eight issues. She is definitely a highly sought-after supermodel, appearing in international fashion shows all over the globe. She just freshly headlined a fashion show held in Antalya, Turkey.
"Music video appearances, fashion editorials, and modelling contracts with the likes of Victoria's Secret ensued and Irina was propelled to international fame," Irish Independent reported.
In addition to modelling, Irina has also tried her hand at acting. She stars opposite of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the upcoming adventure action flick "Hercules: The Thracian Wars." She plays the role of Hercules' wife Megara. The movie will hit the cinemas in the U.S. on July 25.
