Isabel Lucas Goes Down Under: Goodbye LA, Hello Again Australia
After living in Los Angeles, the former "Home and Away" and self-confessed "hippie star", has decided to move back home to Australia.
Born and raised in Melbourne before moving to Switzerland by the age of 6, this 26-year-old Aussie is not only skilled in speaking English but is quite versed in German and French. Lucas and her family moved back to Melbourne a year after living in Switzerland then moved shortly thereafter to a small mining town in Queensland.
Known for her role as Tasha Andrews from 2003 to 2006 in the Australian television series, "Home and Away," Lucas also starred in a few high-end roles. Her breakthrough role in 2009 came in the form of the world's favorite superhero - "The Transformers." After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, Lucas bagged the role of Alice in "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" as a "Decepticon" that lures in nerds through her alluring and quite ravaging human form. She plays alongside Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in the second installment of the movie franchise.
On the same year, Lucas again bagged the role as Alison Bromley in the vampire movie "Daybreakers" alongside Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe. Her other movie, "Kin," released June of 2009 in Australia, was about a young Russian woman desperately in love who flees from her hometown Russia just to be with the man she loves in Australia.
Like her role in the film, it has been a speculation that Lucas' decision to come home to Australia is because of her current boyfriend Angus Stone, an Australian musician. Lucas on the other hand simply laughs and shrugs it off.
This Aussie hottie has also been romantically linked to actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Shia Labeouf, Adrian Grenier and Chris Hemworth. "I have a good amount of male friends who are just like big brothers," says Lucas in an interview. "But Hollywood doesn't believe that platonic male-female relationships can exist."
