Islamic State: Extremist Group Beheads Brit Aid Worker David Haines; Another UK Citizen Alan Henning Next In Line
The Islamic State is back on a beheading frenzy, claiming it third victim on Saturday just barely less than two weeks since it last decapitated American journalist Steven Sotloff.
The latest victim of Jihadist John's sharp knife was British aid worker David Haines, 44, whom the extremist group threatened just before pulling the knife on Sotloff. BBC and other British media reported the decapitation, although the British Foreign Office said it is verifying the authenticity of a new video released by the IS.

Like the first two beheadings of James Foley and Sotloff, the victim, Haines, was wearing an orange jumpsuit and Jihadist John, believed to be British rapper Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, was in black and hood.
And similar to the first two decapitations, Haines' beheading included identifying the identity of the next IS victim - another Briton, Alan Henning.
Haines, who was working for Acted in Syria, was kidnapped by the IS on his third day in Syria, according to The Guardian. While he was held for two years, few knew of his capture until IS identified him as the next victim when it decapitated Sotloff.
NBC reports that Haines's family pleaded with the IS not to push through with the execution, but their request fell on deaf ears. In the message to IS on Saturday, the same day that the group chopped off the head of the aid worker, the Haines family sent a message to the militant group.
Their message read: "We are the family of David Haines. We have sent messages to you to which we have not received a reply. We are asking those holding David to make contact with us."
