Island Wear For Arnold Schwarzenegger In ‘Terminator: Genisys’—Report
"Terminator: Genisys" may show the veteran actor Arnold Schwarzenegger in unexpected clothes in the movie. The new look, which may be for a brief scene, will reportedly be a marked departure from the iconic look of the character that he has played in the past.
Fans of the franchise may have seen the recently released trailer of the movie that showed Arnold Schwarzenegger as the young and naked cyborg and also the the veteran cyborg wearing a leather jacket and a T-shirt. But there may be one surprising look that the fans may get to see in the movie.
According to a report by HollywoodReporter, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be seen wearing island-styled garments from the new menswear line from Lanai Collection. The clothing line is reportedly owned by Skydance Productions CEO David Ellison. Skydance is one of the companies involved in the production of "Terminator: Genisys."
The move by the producers is seen as a "savvy product placement" that may get the fans interested in the clothing line. The new look, however, may not feature for a long time in the movie and may be used in one of the lighter moments.
This will not be the first time for the producers of the franchise to use humour on the iconic look of the cyborg played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the movie "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," fans saw the actor walk into a strip club to demand the clothes of the male stripper.
The next scene showed the actor wearing a typical leather jacket and just when the fans expected him to complement the jacket with black sunglasses, the actor was seen wearing goggles in the shape of a star that had glittering silver coloured frame. He, however, crushes the glasses later and manages to find the trademark black glasses.
The brief few scenes in the trailer of "Terminator: Genisys" that feature Arnold Schwarzenegger show the actor dressed in black. The movie promises the actor to play the same action oriented cyborg that fans have come to appreciate over the years.
"Terminator: Genisys" will be revisiting the storyline from the first two movies from the franchise. The movie is slated to be released on June 25, 2015 in New Zealand and on July 1 in the U.S. The release date information for Australia has still not been made available.
