The Cleveland Cavaliers fans are acting like your typical jilted girlfriend; they can’t seem to let go even if the break-up was eons ago. She wants you back in your life despite the troubles and hurt during and after your time together (burning jerseys included) and she’s willing to give it another shot.

LeBron James of the Miami Heat, with current partners Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh visited the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, rekindling the past relationship with his hometown franchise which drafted him first overall in the 2003 NBA Draft.

It’s a painful “what could have been” for Cleveland—James is on pace to having another career year; an impressive feat considering he has won four NBA MVP awards already.

The 28-year-old superstar is averaging 26.0 PPG, 6.6 APG and 5.7 RPG, but he's doing it in a very efficient manner—he’s shooting 61 per cent from the field, 49 per cent from beyond the arc and 80 per cent from the foul line.

The same cannot be said of the Cleveland Cavaliers and their franchise player Kyrie Irving. The Cavs have lost three in a row and are one of the worst teams in the league with just 4 wins against 10 losses.

Irving hasn’t fared any better scoring 21.4 PPG but shooting just 41.0 per cent from the field, 35.3 per cent from three and 80.9 per cent from the line-- all career-low numbers in his three years in the NBA.

Wade and point guard Mario Chalmers are both listed as day-to-day because of various injuries and is listed as probable for Heat, which are on a seven-game winning streak.

The Cavs got blown to pieces by the San Antonio Spurs, 126-to-96 in their last outing, and they have to do better job on both ends to stop the defending champions.

The Heat swept the Cavs, 4-0 in their season series last year although all games have been close with Miami winning with no more than four points. Cleveland covered the spread in three of the four match-ups.
