The media hullabaloo surrounding the hug between Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan refuses to die down.

If one believes the sources close to Salman Khan, the actor's initiated hug was no patch-up offer. The popular actor's brother, Sohail Khan, has also poured a tanker-full of cold water on the mill of speculations that his brother is ready to build bridges, again.

"They just greeted each other. There is nothing more to it," Sohail Khan told a leading Indian daily. Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, also holds the same opinion that the two actors have not yet buried the proverbial hatchet.

"I have always maintained that there can never be any love between any two big stars, only courtesy. It is not possible for big stars to love each other. Even stars like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar were just courteous to each other. Salman and Shahrukh must have decided to be mature and courteous and that is something that must be maintained," Salim Khan told Bollywoodlife.com.

Salman Khan has maintained a stoic silence. One of Shah Rukh Khan's cryptic tweets was decoded as him talking about a fresh start but, he has no explanation to offer.

He told Indian media when asked about the hug, "I will be very honest. Whether it's my relationships, friendships, personal aspects... I have never dignified it by talking about it in the public and I would like to keep it like this."

"So much is said, so much is heard, and too much is written. But as far as I am concerned... I have never spoken about it and I am not going to begin now. It's for everyone to take it forth, there is nothing coming in terms of explanation."

Shah Rukh Khan's tweet: "Finally u realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, becos there is so much more to the book than the page u were stuck on."

The two immensely popular Bollywood actors had an impromptu hug and formal handshake moment on July 21st, at the 'Iftaar' party hosted by a Congress leader at Taj Land's End, Mumbai.

Salman Khan had said in the past, "SRK and I can never be friends." The two former-close-friends' relationship turned sour when they had a falling-out at a party hosted by Salman Khan to celebrate Katrina Kaif's birthday, in 2008.
