It’s National Masturbation Month in Philadelphia (VIDEOS)
It's 27 days of verbal wanking for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as the city celebrates May as the National Masturbation Month.
The almost month-long celebration started with the first Masturbate-a-Thon on Wednesday, May 1.
According to the Philadelphia Magazine which reported the event, it is for a good cause since participants can donate money which will fund two local sex education groups - ScrewSmart and Pleasure Rush!
Rather than spank their monkies in public, participants will instead discuss topics such as sexuality, the promotion of sexual health and the importance of pleasure.
The climax of the month-long celebration is the Creamium, a gameshow and dance party with prizes for Most Creative Fantasy, Most Pleasure Connections and Most Money Raised.
To join, log on to Crowdrise.com. So far, $185 had been raised, according to the Web site. To encourage more donations, the Web site promised to award at the Creamium the honor of being called a Self Screwer for a $50 donation, Master Wanker for $100 and Hell-abater for $250 donation.
Besides Philadelphia, Shanghai held on Dec 1, 2012, China's first World AIDS Day Masturbation Contest to celebrate HIV risk-free sexual freedom. The event was sponsored by Aihuirun.com, a sex toy manufacturer. It featured 10 males who wore masks and orange buckets over their organs which would contain the proof that they had come. To help the males achieve their goal, female models in skimpy attire danced while carrying sex toys and blow-up dolls.
Portland, Oregon, also had been holding similar Masturbate-a-thon for several years now.
A man who was arrested by police in Smathers Beach, Florida, for intentional masturbation and exposing his private parts in a lewd and lascivious exhibition should perhaps be one of the participants to the month-long Philadelphia celebration.
Huffington Post reported that 35-year-old Elijah Slocumb was seen by a witness holding his penis in his hand and making up and down motions, indicating he was sexually stimulating himself. The female witness added, Elijah's whole body was shaking.
