People depend on the world of technology that will help them make their life easier. Since the advent of the Smartphone life has become very simple and easy to either stay connected with a loved one or to conduct work and business matters. Today everyone relies on the Smartphone whether to browse the web on the go, to read news or to stay up to date in their everyday lives.

However, with major companies venturing into the Smartwatch business like Sony, Motorola, Samsung, Apple who are bringing out their own line of Smartwatches that will catch everyone's breathe, Smartphones are bound to take a back seat.

Overriding the Smartphones with its technology, functionality, sleek design and style statement the Smartwatches have arrived.

Let us have a look at some of the best Smartwatches to hit the market sometime this year or early in 2015.

Apple iWatch

The Smartwatch comes in three models; one with a display screen of 1.6 inches and the other two with a screen display of 1.8 inches. The Apple "iWatch" will run on iOS7. The device can connect via Bluetooth to the all compatible iOS devices like the iPad, iPhone and computer. The watch can be detached from the strap. The advanced strap comes with GPS, accelerometer and wireless communication to receive calls and notifications when connected to a phone. It also has sensors to monitor health and other features like the two sided bracelet design with the ability to make calls, including a multimedia controller. Mobile payments too can be made from the device. It is rumoured that the Smartwatch will be unveiled early in 2015.

Google Gem

Google will launch "Google Gem" in collaboration with Motorola. This Smartwatch runs on android Kit Kat. With its open source programming Google will change the perception of Smartwatches. The watch is integrated with all apps powered by Google including the Playstore. It can be synchronized with all android phones. Google Gem has a flip up as well as a curved display. The release date of Google Gem is not known but it is expected to be release this year.

The Samsung Gear S

The Samsung Gear S boasts of being a smartphone mounted on the wrist. It is powered with Tizen with built in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity including a cellular radio. The watch sits snugly around the wrist. It comes with the HERE navigation provided by Nokia and included in the Smartwatch are features like the GPS, gyroscope, compass, barometer, heart rate monitor and UV detection. It has a storage capacity of 4 GB. The Smartwatch is IP67 dust and water resistant.

Moto 360

The Moto 360 has a display of 1.5 inches with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with LCD back light. It can be synchronized with the Smartphone and is equipped with sending text messages, Google Now Voice command, multimedia playback, GPS, heart rate monitor and pedometer. Calls can be accepted and rejected. It also includes functions like dictating notes and reminders. Working on android 4.3, it will be waterproof up to 3.3 feet in water for 30 minutes.

All these and more Smartwatch companies are in the race against each other and the Smartphone market. With the enormous features and functionality, definitely it is going to be a new age of Smartwatches.
