Mobile payments too can be made from the device. It is rumoured that the Smartwatch will be unveiled early in 2015.
Google Gem
Google will launch "Google Gem" in collaboration with Motorola. This Smartwatch runs on android Kit Kat. With its open source programming Google will change the perception of Smartwatches. The watch is integrated with all apps powered by Google including the Playstore. It can be synchronized with all android phones. Google Gem has a flip up as well as a curved display. The release date of Google Gem is not known but it is expected to be release this year.
The Samsung Gear S
The Samsung Gear S boasts of being a smartphone mounted on the wrist. It is powered with Tizen with built in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity including a cellular radio. The watch sits snugly around the wrist. It comes with the HERE navigation provided by Nokia and included in the Smartwatch are features like the GPS, gyroscope, compass, barometer, heart rate monitor and UV detection. It has a storage capacity of 4 GB. The Smartwatch is IP67 dust and water resistant.
Moto 360
The Moto 360 has a display of 1.5 inches with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with LCD back light. It can be synchronized with the Smartphone and is equipped with sending text messages, Google Now Voice command, multimedia playback, GPS, heart rate monitor and pedometer. Calls can be accepted and rejected. It also includes functions like dictating notes and reminders. Working on android 4.3, it will be waterproof up to 3.3 feet in water for 30 minutes.
