Rose McIver is Liv Moore in 'iZombie'

“iZombie” Season 2 finale airs this Tuesday, April 12 on The CW. Show boss Rob Thomas is teasing a zombie apocalypse kind of experience for the audience. He says the ending this week “dwarfs” the explosive ending of the show’s first chapter.

Spoiler alert: This update includes “iZombie” Season 2 spoilers. Details include the highlights of the season up to Episode 17 (“Reflections Of The Way Liv Used To Be”), which aired on April 5.

A number of plots are peaking in “iZombie” at this point. For one, Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) has been arrested in connection to the events at the Meat Cute shop in the first season finale. Meanwhile, Gilda/Rita (Leanne Lapp) has become a zombie. As these develop, Vaughn Du Clark is about to confirm that Major never killed anyone of the zombies in his kill list.

“Liv (Rose McIver) will go to great lengths to save [Major],” Thomas told TV Guide. In the same interview, Thomas said this season’s finale is much bigger than the first season finale.

“I actually can't believe we pulled it off. It's as close to a zombie movie as I think we can manage.” Thomas said.

From Thomas’ teasers, one could expect that Major’s frozen zombies will all turn up and participate in the zombie apocalypse scenario.

“Like last year, not everyone survives,” the show boss said. Who will die in the “iZombie” Season 2 finale? Here are some of the candidates: Peyton (Aly Michalka), Rita, Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) and Drake (Greg Finley). It could be anyone else in the series.

“iZombie” Season 3 is happening, which means fans should not worry about not having a sense of closure.
