Jackson Rathbone Says “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ is Modern ‘Romeo and Juliet’
"Twilight" actor Jackson Rathbone said that the saga's latest film "Breaking Dawn" is a modern take of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet."
"Breaking Dawn - Part 1" screens at the recent Rome Festival wherein Rathbone called the second to the last movie of the series as a story similar to one of Shakespeare's masterpieces about star-crossed lovers.
Vampire co-star Nikki Reed still cannot believe that "Twilight" evolved into being a worldwide phenomenon. Nikki Reed plays the role of Rosalie who is the sibling of Rathbone's character Jasper. Reed thinks that "Twilight" appealed to viewers because it features unattainable love.
The "Twilight" series accumulated more than $2 billion worldwide.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" will focus on Bella's marriage and pregnancy and will surely be one of the top-grossing films this fall.
For those who have not read Stephenie Meyer's best-selling vampire romance novel, Bella and Edward finally get hitched and go on their steaming tropical island honeymoon. Bella eventually becomes pregnant with Edward's child.
The complications start from there as Edward has to save his wife from the strong vampire-human hybrid inside her. To make matters worse, the werewolves see the child as a threat to their tribe.
Moreover, Jacob shows his undying love and loyalty to Bella by going against the pack. The trailer concludes with Bella's act of giving birth that was cut just on cue that will make you jump off your feet.
