Jaime Pressly charged with two counts of drunken driving
Pressly faces arraignment on February 7 for two counts of drunken driving
Actress and model, Jaime Pressly was charged with two counts of drunken driving Tuesday following her arrest in Santa Monica, California early this year.
Quoting the complaint filed by the Attorney’s office of Santa Monica city, Reuters said that Pressly was tested with a blood-alcohol level of more than 0.20 percent. The result is two times higher than the 0.08 percent limit set by the city. The case against the actress began from a simple traffic violation but got worst when she was found driving while under the influence.
The 33-year-old actress is best recognized for her Emmy-award-winning role in “My Name is Earl”. Pressly portrayed a ‘trailer-trash temptress” in the popular television show which ended in 2009 after its four-year run in the United States.
The television star has recently filed for divorce from her husband, entertainment lawyer, Simran Singh. The former couple had been together for over a year before the split. Hollyscoop said Pressly cites irreconcilable differences as reason for divorce filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on January 21. Pressly has also reportedly owe US government $637,000 in federal and state taxes.
