James Bond & Star Wars Actor Khan Bonfils Died During Rehearsals
Actor Khan Bonfils died while doing rehearsals for "Dante's Inferno." The actor appeared in Star Wars and James Bond movies.
Khan aka Kan, who acted as a Jedi master in the Star Wars franchise, collapsed while rehearsing for the drama which was scheduled to open at The Rag Factory in London later this week. Neither paramedics nor the members of the production company "Craft Theatre" were able to resuscitate the actor. Chris Hislop said the cast and crew were devastated by the death. "Kan collapsed during a rehearsal and the director Rocky Rodriguez Jr performed CPR on location," BBC quotes the company spokesman, "There is absolutely severe sadness; it is a real tragedy." The cause of death has not yet been known. Hislop said that "Dante's Inferno" was expected to continue even after the death of the actor. He said that another actor would replace Khan as the drama would open on Saturday. The drama was earlier scheduled to open on Thursday.
Khan played Isagura in the 1997 James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies" where Pierce Brosnan played Bond. He was also a part of the 2012 Bond movie "Skyfall" where Daniel Craig played the protagonist. He featured in the 1999 movie Jedi master Saesee Tiin in Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace which also featured Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson. Khan also acted in successful movies like Batman Begins (2005) and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life (2003).

Khan acted as Henchman in the film where Javier Bardem played the villain Raoul Silva. The movie, which was based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman, was directed by master director Christopher Nolan. Christian Bale played Batman while Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman and Katie Holmes. Khan played as a member of the League of Shadows.

George Lucas directed the 1999 U.S. epic space opera movie. The fourth film in the Star Wars saga was Lucas' debut as a director. Khan played as Saesee Tiin.
