James Corden performed an original song titled “Get Elley on the Telly” during his guest appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday. The song is an appeal of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” host to have DeGeneres’ U.S. talk-variety show aired on British television.

Entertainment Weekly (EW) reports that “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is currently not available in England so Corden, 37, attempted to persuade his home country to put TV host Ellen DeGeneres on the telly through a song. Corden’s “Get Elley on the Telly” song begins with the countries that can watch “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” such as Africa, Sweden, New Zealand, China and Norway.

Corden further explained in his song that it is now time for the British viewers from London to Salisbury to take a stand in getting “Elley on the telly” because the British viewers’ lives are all a mess without a daily dose of DeGeneres on their TV screens. During Corden’s performance, the big screen behind him flashed the images of notable British trademarks, personalities and characters like the Big Ben, British bus, English tea, Simon Cowell, David Beckham, Spice Girls, The Beatles, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Afterwards, a couple of notable British characters and personalities, such as Harry Potter, Queen Elizabeth and the Queen’s Guard, also joined Corden on the stage for the moving finale of his “Get Elley on the Telly” song. E News reports that there is still no word if Corden’s plea will affect the syndication of DeGeneres’ show in England.

Aside from wanting “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to hit the British airwaves, Corden also wants DeGeneres to participate in the “Carpool Karaoke” segment of “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” DeGeneres has expressed gratitude but explained to Corden that she is not a singer so she may not be able to perform well.

DeGeneres, 57, explained to Corden that the whole point of his show’s segment is to have someone in the car who might be on the radio or has a great voice and can actually sing. The “Into the Woods” actor argued that DeGeneres has skills so she could be an exception and the only non-singer to ever appear on his show’s segment.

DeGeneres responded that she will think about Corden’s request. The “Finding Nemo” star further told the British comedian and TV host that maybe one day he can give her a ride home and she will do the “Carpool Karaoke” while in the car.
