James Patterson joins Stieg Larsson with over 1 million Kindle books sold!
James Patterson has sold more than 1 million books in Kindle. Patterson is the second author to have sold over a million Kindle books and is now a member of the The Kindle Million Club!
According to Amazon.com, Patterson sold 1, 005, 803 Kindle books as of yesterday. He joins Stieg Larsson, author of the Millennium Trilogy (upon which Daniel Craig's latest movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is based). Patterson's and Larsson's record refer to their paid Kindle books sales of over 1 million copies in the Kindle Store.
Amazon Vice President (Kindle Content) Russ Grandinetti said, "Amazon customers have been James Patterson fans far longer than 'Kindle' was a word in our vernacular."
"We're excited that his readers have embraced his many books on the Kindle platform, and we look forward to celebrating the 2 million mark in the future."
James Patterson is the author of more than 65 books in genres of suspense, fantasy, romance, historical fiction and children's. His books include the popular Alex Cross, Women's Murder Club and Maximum Ride series. He is listed as one of Forbes magazine's Celebrity 100.
James Patterson's titles have been adapted into both feature film like Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls, both starring Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freema and a television series ABC's "Women's Murder Club" starring Angie Harmon.
