Jamie Dornan: 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Actor To Star In Upcoming World War II Film Titled 'Anthropoid'
“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Jamie Dornan has a new movie project coming up aside from the “Fifty Shades” movie sequels. The latest reports reveal that the 32-year-old Northern Irish actor will be one of the lead stars in the upcoming World War II thriller film titled “Anthropoid.”
“Peaky Blinders” star Cillian Murphy will be joining actor Jamie Dornan in the Sean Ellis film. According to a Variety report, “Anthropoid” tells the story of an assassination attempt on Reinhard Heydrich, an SS general that led the Nazi forces in Czechoslovakia.
The British forces train two soldiers from Czechoslovakia’s army in exile before parachuting them into their homeland with the assignment, code-named “Anthropoid,” to kill Reinhard Heydrich. The film is scheduled to kick off production in Prague this coming July.
Jamie Dornan’s work schedule is going to be very busy since he will be reprising his role as Christian Grey in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie trilogy. An unnamed source revealed in a Daily Star report that Jamie Dornan has signed the deal and the actor’s pay will be significantly increased.
The insider further shared that Jamie Dornan was about to say goodbye to the role of Christian Grey and the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie franchise because he is worried that the project will harm his long-term career ambitions. “So he was about to walk away and leave it all behind then bosses of the movie franchise came back with the jaw-dropping offer,” the unnamed source added.
When asked if Jamie Dornan’s wife is the reason the actor wanted to walk away from the role, the insider claimed that actress Amelia Warner had no issue with her husband’s role at all. “But Jamie is too embarrassed to let her see the racier scenes,” the insider shared.
Meanwhile, an Irish Independent report revealed that actor Jamie Dornan enjoyed the weekend during his vacation trip to Ireland. The “Fifty Shades of Grey” star was spotted enjoying a pub crawl in Borris-on-Ossory on Saturday, Feb. 28, before watching the Ireland v England game at the Aviva stadium on Sunday, March 1, where he had numerous pictures or selfies taken next to the fans.
