Music -education advocate and singer Jamie Foxx is presenting music documentary, “Thunder Soul” as executive producer in its release in September this year.

"I can't wait to share 'Thunder Soul' with the world so that everyone can enjoy this one of a kind experience," Jamie Foxx was quoted as saying, by the Associated Press.

With the rights taken in November by the Roadside Attractions, “Thunder Soul “ features the members of a Houston group, Kashmere High School Stage Band which became famous in the 1970s. The story revolves around the homecoming of the band members after 35 years to play a tribute for their older band leader, 92-year-old Conrad Prof Johnson.

Jamie Foxx has appeared in biopic films featuring great music artists such as Ray Charles. He said, "It's such an entertaining and inspirational story that touches your soul and awakens the human spirit in the way that only love and the power of music can."

It already received an audience award during its world premiere at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival. According to the Associated Press, the music documentary has been nominated for the best documentary category at the Independent Split Awards.
