Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of pop star Britney Spears, has oftentimes been accused of taking money from her recording artist sibling under the latter’s conservatorship. But the actress has continued to deny the speculations while recently expressing her support for her sister.

Compared to Britney’s current estimated net worth of $60 million, Jamie Lynn is only worth 10% of her sister’s fortune with a net worth of $6 million. The younger Spears sister made her wealth from her acting career, being part of several TV shows, including “All That” and “Zoey 101.” Jamie Lynn’s most recent success comes from the Netflix series “Sweet Magnolias” where she became a regular cast member in 2020, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Jamie Lynn also dabbled in the music industry in 2013 when she released her single “How Could I Want More” that reached #29 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and #27 on the U.K. Independent Singles Chart. On May 27, 2014, Jamie Lynn released the EP “The Journey" that included five songs and was #24 on the Billboard U.S. Top Country Albums chart and #5 on the Billboard U.S. Heatseekers Albums chart.

Throughout Britney's conservatorship that has been in place for more than a decade, Jamie Lynn has mostly been quiet about the issue. The younger Spears was criticized in 2019 after she posted a photograph of herself and her sister on her Instagram account after the pop icon’s hearing that year, E! News reported.

One online user said Jamie Lynn uploaded the picture because she was afraid of losing her allowance, insinuating that she was taking money from Britney. In response to the comment, Jamie Lynn said she had never taken any amount of money from the pop icon, arguing she would only spend money she earned herself.

Since then, Jamie Lynn has come under fire from Britney’s supporters, with some comparing her to a spider. The comments came after her mother, Lynne Spears, uploaded a picture of a large spider web outside her Louisiana home on Aug. 11, 2021. Many users quickly ridiculed the family, with one saying it looked like Jamie Lynn's lively home.

But recently, she made a public pledge that she would help Britney, which is the first time she expressed her support for her sister amid the legal battle, according to the Independent.
