Janet Jackson has just joined a very exclusive club. The 47-year-old singer, who is the second most famous member of the Jackson family (next only to late brother Michael, of course), is now a billionaire.

Variety reports that Janet's singing and acting talents have earned her quite a pretty penny in the past. She has raked in $260m in album sales for "Control" (1986), "Janet" (1993), and "Rhythm Nation 1814" (1989).

Another $81m came from her tour, music and publishing fees, while her $458m is from her sold-out world tours.

Her acting stints proved to be lucrative as well. She earned a total of $304m for her roles in films, such as "For Coloured Girls," "Poetic Justice," and "The Nutty Professor."

Janet now joins a very few celebrities who have a net worth of over a billion dollars, such as Madonna, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, and "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling.

She isn't the only billionaire in the family, though. Her new husband, Wissam Al Mana, is also a billionaire.

Other Jacksons aren't as fortunate as Janet, though. While Michael had amassed million of wealth during his lifetime, their older siblings got in debt.

Jermaine Jackson had asked a judge to cut his child support payment from $3,000 to just $215 a month in 2010 because he claimed that he wasn't making any more income. Their sister LaToya was also having money troubles back in 1995 when she filed for bankruptcy after her failed music career.
