Janet Lim-Napoles Watch: Medical Drama Begins With High Blood Pressure, to End in a Wheelchair or Hospital Bed (VIDEOS & PHOTOS)

The medical drama that rich people accused of crimes resort to has begun for pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim-Napoles. The inevitable result of this would be that by the time she has to appear before the Senate or a court, she would be too weak and have to be pushed in a wheelchair.

The first part of the medical drama was unveiled on her second night in detention at the Makati city jail when she was not made to sleep in a regular cell, but enjoyed an aircon room because she has diabetes, according to police officials, and her medication needed to be placed in a refrigerator.

The next part of the medical drama is another chronic ailment - hypertension or high blood pressure caused by an anxiety attack while inside her detention room in Fort Sto Domingo in Laguna at 3 am on Monday.

This time, the crafty businesswoman, who had allegedly convinced senators and congressmen to channel their pork barrel funds to fake nongovernmental organisations she established, blamed claustrophobia which resulted in her blood pressure to surge to 180/150, while her blood sugar level dipped to 112 milligrammes per deciliter, disclosed Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac.

However, a nurse from the Fort said Ms Lim-Napoles' medical condition returned to normal by 4 am.

Mr Sindac, quoting lawyers of the alleged pork barrel scam mastermind, said her camp will not request for a hospital arrest like what former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo did because of medical issues.

He added that the return to normal medical condition of the businesswoman is a good sign that the medical staff of the facility could handle her needs.

The police official added that Ms Lim-Napoles even was well enough to have breakfast at 6 am of rice, egg and her favourite pork dish - ham.

Her blood pressure would surely shoot up again if she hears that 10 whistleblowers who met with Ms Lim-Napoles's representative on Wednesday in a mall in Quezon City and accepted hush money of P20,000 to implicate the main whistleblower - her relative Benhur Luy - have confessed that in exchange for the money, they would sign an affidavit that would instead pin Mr Luy.

Another testimony sure to cause another surge in the pork barrel queen's blood pressure is the revelation by the president of one of the NGOs she created to funnel government money into her 400 bank accounts is that before the court could close in on her and freeze her accounts, she withdrew a substantial amount of money.

Another whistleblower disclosed that Ms Lim-Napoles owns 28 real estate properties and apartments in gated communities in Makati and Alabang and five units in the Primea condominium where each units is worth at least P75 million.

The lavish lifestyle of the Napoles family is seen in this social media photo of her daughter who had bragged in interviews that her mother has close friends in government, including President Benigno Aquino III, who would ensure that the pork barrel scam queen would not stay in jail for long.

Hospitals, especially the ones with suites, after all have been found suitable places by former presidents and other top officials, so why should it not also work for the scam queen suffering from chronic ailments?
