Janet Lim-Napoles Watch: More New Memes to Celebrate Surrender of Pork Barrel Scam Brain (PHOTOS & VIDEOS)
Questions over the manner of the surrender of Philippine Pork Barrel Scam Queen Janet Lim-Napoles overshadowed the businesswoman ending her short fugitive days.
From the line of questioning of members of the Malacanang Press Corp on Thursday to Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda, the media man echoed the sentiment of many Filipinos that the woman suspected of masterminding the P10-billion pork barrel scam has been handled using kid's glove.
That sentiment was caused by Ms Lim-Napoles giving up herself to Philippine President Benigno Aquino as one of the conditions of her surrender, hence this photo opportunity with Malacanang officials, although this is apparently Photoshopped to make her appear looking up.
However, behind the official photo are suspicions that she may have secret deals with the president during a 10-minute talk between the two, specifically her becoming a possible state witness. The result is this meme that mimics the Titanic movie.
Malacanang vehemently denied the suspicion of secret deals and quashed talks of special treatment since Ms Lim-Napoles underwent the traditional fingerprinting and mug shots that all crime suspects are made to undergo.
But some FB members described it as a selfie
While this next meme plays on the rumours that Ms Pork Barrel had undergone cosmetic surgery, which yielded a better-looking scam queen.
For the business-minded, they used the mug shot to create literally mugs with photos of Ms Lim-Napoles, and the people behind this scheme (not scam) are also planning to make T-shirt versions of the mug shot.
The memes had really gone a long way from The Conjuring and My Husband's Lover editions which became dated when she surrendered (or was captured, according to the next meme) to Mr Aquino.
Even her lawyer, Lorna Kapunan, was not spared from the memes as some FB members noted her physical resemblance to her client and to singer Sir Elton John.
The memes, it seems have a cathartic effect on Filipinos long fed up on corruption in the Philippine government being abetted by the administration.
Ahead of the Senate hearings where Ms Lim-Napoles is either expected to deny being the mastermind of the pork barrel scam which is threatening big-name senators or tell all, there are jokes in Facebook that supply of wheelchairs in the Philippines is fast dwindling because of the expected use of the device by senators and congressmen to be implicated.

Then the next scenario, as what has happened in past Senate hearings done in aid of legislation, is these people would feign illness and the need to be confined rather than be jailed even for medical problems that could be solved by over-the-counter drug for constipation!
This early, even Ms Lim-Napoles has made it know that she has diabetes, and would most likely cite her very high or low blood sugar level not to testify as well as to get an air-conditioned room no less in the office of the Interior Secretary in Camp Crame rather than spend the night in Makati City Jail where she should be.
And in case the government takes off its kid's glove, irony of ironies, Ms Lim-Napoles would stay in the same city jail as her former housemaid whom she accused of theft, although they will not share the same cell.
Her camp has initiated moves to prevent her transfer to the city jail.
Meanwhile, the dragnet continues to widen as the Commission on Audit, in its report covering the years 2007-2009, named 7 senators as involved in the anomalous release of their pork barrel funds. They are Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Ramon Revilla Jr., Gringo Honasan, Ralph Recto, Edgardo Angara and Manuel Lapid.
The report said more than P1 billion was funneled by Messrs Ponce Enrile, Honasan, Revilla and Estrada into fake NGOs linked to Ms Lim-Napoles. Expectedly, the four denied the allegations.
