Despite how it looked for everyone, it was not that easy for Ariana to just reunite with Jai. A simple sorry did not cut it for the Nickelodeon star. Jai needed to beg Ariana for a second chance and the begging did it for Ariana.

"Sam and Cat's" Ariana Grande forgave Jai Brooks for his long and nasty Twitter rant on October 2013, in which she was called a cheater. After forgiving Jai, the two reunited as boyfriend-girlfriend, the past forgotten. Ariana Grande claims she never stopped loving Jai Brooks, even when she was with Nathan Sykes reports claim, so the feelings really run deep. Before she forgave him however, Jai begged for the chance to explain.

According to Hollywood Life, Jai explained long and hard why he posted that Twitter rant in the first place to Ariana and he needed to beg for a second chance because he knew what he did was wrong.

"He initially got jealous that she was singing with all of these guys and accused her of cheating on him, which wasn't true," Hollywood Life reports. "When he came and apologized to her and begged for a second chance, she decided to follow her heart and give him one. She never cheated on him and has always loved him."

Ariana, who is currently releasing her album "Problem" did not have a problem forgiving Jai because she finally understands where is coming from. Because she never stopped loving Jai, she decided to just follow her heart. Jai is her first love, and this makes it difficult to forget him even if she was already with Nathan Sykes, Hollywood Life claims.

"Nathan was a moment in time during heartbreak," Hollywood Life reports. Ariana and Nathan's stopped seeing each other for four months "because she ultimately still loved Jai," even though things did not end well for them last year.

Their reunion did not happen overnight though.

"Jai was her first everything and that is a very hard thing to break off from, especially for Ariana. Plus, they have been secretly flirting online for months!" reports Hollywood Life.

Their reunion was confirmed when the two were spotted after her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on May 1, locked in an adorable, steamy kiss.
