Jennifer Aniston and beau Justin Theroux have flown back to Los Angeles on Monday from a romantic getaway in Europe. Jen was spotted wearing a sparkly diamond ring. Did their engagement just get all-official? Then again, why is she not wearing the precious rock on her left ring finger?

Rumors have always been inconsistent about one of the hottest pairs in Hollywood today. Aniston and Theroux have been dating for only a year, but as far as the rumour mill is concerned the two have gone through a lifetime of events together. They have reportedly fought, split, gotten pregnant, sought couple's therapy, and considered buying a home together, among other things.

Just over a week ago, however, Theroux was quoted as saying, he is happy to be in a relationship with the former Friends sweetheart.

"I always go to bed thinking I'm the luckiest guy in the world," Theroux, 40, has recently told the U.S. TV show Extra.

The utterly sweet statement cancels previous rumors that spread a week prior -- that the eligible bachelor was getting exhausted of Jen's 'neediness.'

"Justin loves her, but she's making him crazy because she won't leave his side," according to Now's source.

Jen has reportedly been convincing Justin to sell the £470,000 2-bedroom house he bought in Hawaii five years ago because she preferred a bigger and better living space, Now reported. In relation to this, the couple had reportedly attended some couple's therapy sessions to discuss Jen's space issues.

Neither Aniston nor Theroux has spoken about the diamond ring that Jen was wearing Monday. Is it a symbol of some sort? If it were really an engagement ring, Jen would have worn it on her left ring finger. Fans find it puzzling, but if the diamond ring bodes well for the couple, then good on them.

Jen and Justin have previously been spotted wearing matching rings inscribed with their names, the NY Daily News reported.

Perez Hilton has earlier reported Aniston and Theroux were spotted at the vicinity of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
