Next to Farrah Fawcett, Jennifer Aniston probably had the most popular hair on television history. Her mane was so popular that it even had its own name and legions of followers. Indeed, "The Rachel" was at one time became the most requested cut at salons in the 1990s. But for Jen, her hair isn't worthy of a royalty status, unlike Kate Middleton's.

The 44-year-old star revealed to Marie Claire magazine that her legendary hair was "horrible!"

"The Rachel was high maintenance. I'd curse Chris [McMillan, creator of The Rachel] every time I had to blow dry. It took three brushes - it was like doing surgery!" she said of her hairstyle that she famously donned back in her "Friends" sitcom days.

She also admitted that she's quite envious of the Duchess of Cambridge's crowning glory, perhaps because it always appears perfect and immaculate.

"Does she do her hair herself? She's got a hard job, being scrutinised like that," Jen mused. "When I have a bad hair day, my hair just goes in a clip."

Jennifer having a bad hair day? It seems impossible, but she assured the magazine's readers that her locks aren't as perfect as they seem.

"I have naturally wavy, frizzy Greek hair, and over the years it's taken a beating from blow-dryers, flat irons, curlers, and extensions, which I think are the most damaging. I couldn't get it to grow because it just kept breaking. Even when it was longer, it didn't look long because the ends were so thin. I ended up using pieces to fill it out."

Jen, who is engaged to actor/filmmaker Justin Theroux, didn't talk about wedding details, but said that she already have an idea of how her hair would look on her big day.

"For my wedding, I wouldn't do an updo, but I think a veil is always pretty. I like loose and natural hair because it goes against the formality of the dress. Loose, like 'I just got out of bed, maybe had a romp' hair.
