Actress Jennifer Lawrence did not attend the 2015 Golden Globe Awards last Sunday, Jan. 11. The reports that recently surfaced revealed the reason why the "American Hustle" star was not present at the star-studded event.

According to People, the 24-year-old "The Hunger Games" star was spotted in Boston having Italian dinner with "American Hustle" director David O. Russell and friends. The report revealed that the group headed to Bricco in Boston's North End, which is the historic Italian neighborhood in the location.

The young actress and her company that evening had the entire second floor of the restaurant to themselves. There were also two security guards at the restaurant to make sure that the JLaw fans will not show up during the group's dinner plans.

The meal served to the award-winning actress and her companions included burrata, zucchini flowers, octopus and eggplants for appetizers and an Italian red Amarone wine. As for Jennifer Lawrence's main course, the actress had the Mediterranean branzino, an entire boneless, wood-fired white fish with seafood tomato panzanella and creamed artichokes.

An unnamed insider revealed in a Perez Hilton report that the actress chowed down on an entire fish including its head and tail. Meanwhile, a restaurant employee shared that the actress and her companions were really "nice and down to earth" people.

"They said they loved their waiter and would be back," the unnamed Bricco employee shared. While previously filming in Boston, Jennifer Lawrence always heads to the North End where she dined in her preferred restaurants like Trattoria Il Panino.

For the fans wondering why Jennifer Lawrence is in Boston, the young actress returned to work on her upcoming film titled "Joy" which is a story of the Miracle Mop inventor and QVC star Joy Mangano. The movie project reunites Jennifer Lawrence and film director David O. Russell with the "American Hustle" and "Silver Linings Playbook" actor Bradley Cooper.

The film's crew members have been searching for locations in Boston for the upcoming flick which is scheduled to kick off filming production in February 2015. "Joy" is scheduled to be released in U.S. movie theaters on Dec. 25, 2015.
