Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth Back to Taping of the 'Hunger Games' Amidst Philip Seymour Hoffman's Death
The world is currently mourning for the loss of yet another Oscar winning star due to drug overdose. Philip Seymour Hoffman, 46, succumbed to a lethal dose of "Ace of Spade" which is a brand of heorin that had not been seen on the streets since 2008. Hoffman's friends visited the actor in his Manhattan apartment when the latter failed to show up in an appointment with his three children. According to police reports, the actor still had a syringe stuck in his arm, whereas five glassine envelopes and a burnt spoon was also found in his apartment.
Philip Seymour is not only going to be remembered for his Oscar winning role in the movie "Capote" but is also going to be missed as the head Gamemaker of the best-selling action fantasy series, the "Hunger Games." Hoffman plays the role of Plutarch Heavensbee, one of the crucial proponents of the death-defying games.
Lionsgate, the management of the best selling movies, expressed their grief with regard to the untimely demise of the actor. Many celebrities also took to Twitter their sadness over the loss of the Oscar-winning actor. Despite the demise of the actor, lead stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth were seen busy taping the final stretch of the series, albeit at a more somber mood.
The Oscar winner Jlaw donned some dress down clothes such as a gray shirt tucked in high trousers, clearly something a person from the "District 13" would wear. Lawrence's co-star Liam Hemsworth, who plays the role of Jennifer's bestfriend in the movie, was also sported wearing the same kind of outfit Jlaw donned while taping. The sullen looks of the actors were noticeable.
Lawrence and Hemsworth, along with the whole "Hunger Games" cast issued a public tribute for the departed actor. According to Daily Mail, the cast said " Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation. We're very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family."
Lionsgate reassured the fans, however, that the show will still go on. The third movie of the "Hunger Games"--"Mockingjay" is set to be released in two parts, the first being on November 21, 2014 while the other on November 20, 2015.
