Josh Hutcherson plays the role of Peeta Mellark in “The Hunger Games” franchise. Liam Hemsworth-Jennifer Lawrence dating speculations are nothing new. Both stars have since been rumoured to be dating since they worked on "The Hunger Games." But the pair has always remained friends. However, according to a source Jennifer and Liam are taking their friendship to the next level. They were believed to have been flirting with each other during one of their promotional rounds for "The Mockingjay Part 1."

The dating speculations could have been fueled during the co-stars promotional tour for their new movie. According to Entertainment Wise writer Rebecca Merriman "there's been a lot of flirting going on with Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth" during their promotion for "The Hunger Games: The Mockingjay Part 1." Speaking at a press conference, the site claims Jennifer gushed over having Liam as her "good-looking best friend." She even further shared her feelings about her co-star being the "most wonderful, lovable, family-oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy."

"He actually taught me how to be fair but to stand up for myself and toughen up a bit. That was important, I needed that," she said.

Liam Hemsworth on the other hand reciprocated his co-star's feelings. Speaking to the same press, he also shared that what he's "learned from Jen is to stay in the moment, be honest, and be yourself no matter what." He reportedly even commended Jennifer Lawrence for always being happy since she can easily adapt to situations, which supposedly makes her a great actress.

Aside from the dating speculations, it's believed Jennifer Lawrence had always confided on Liam Hemsworth when it comes to sharing her problems about her relationship with Chris Martin. The source claims they have been "friends for years" especially since they started working on "The Hunger Games." But along the way things just supposedly got personal.

According to Entertainment Wise a source for British tabloid Heat hints the dating speculations are true since Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence are taking their friendship to the next level. "The Hunger Games" co-stars allegedly connected during their press tour for "The Mockingjay Part 1" and have gotten quite cozy. However, the source claims "they intend on keeping things very low-key so they can both see where fate takes them."

Stylecaster thinks the dating speculations aren't that farfetched since the pair has known each other since the first installment of "The Hunger Games." The source adds Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have "always had insane chemistry." But their previous relationships supposedly stood in the way of their budding romance since "they've never been single at the same time before." Liam Hemsworth's then-fiancé Miley Cyrus allegedly even flew out to the set of "The Hunger Games" when the stars first met. It was believed Miley was jealous and was there to keep an eye on them.

Despite both being single, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have yet to confirm or deny the dating speculations. So far JLaw has openly revealed Liam to be her best friend and nothing more.
