Jennifer Lawrence Nude Pictures Hamper Peace Of Abstinence Community, Male Members Give In To Temptation
The recent celebrity nude photo scandal has reportedly destroyed the harmony and mental peace of the male members of a sex abstinence community on Reddit, it has been revealed. The members of NoFap, a Reddit community, which helps male members abstain from pornography, sex addiction and even masturbation, found it difficult to not give in to the temptation of looking at the nudes of their favourite celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kirsten Dunst and others.
The mostly all male member group takes inspiration from the "scientific benefits" of sex abstinence, which according to them are many. The creators and members of NoFap believe that people who do not indulge in sexual activities like pornography and masturbation are more focused in their lives than the ones who indulge in them. Currently, the community boasts of 119513 "Fapstronauts" who share various tips, methods and other means of abstaining from sex in various forms.
"NoFap hosts challenges in which users abstain from pornography and masturbation for a period of time...you want to quit for a longer period of time, you will find a supportive community and plenty of resources here," says the description of the community. The community aims to help people by asking them to participate in monthly challenges, testing their self control when it comes to addictive sexual habits. It also claims to help the people who are addicted to pornography.
But the latest nude pictures of their favourite celebrities like Kate Upton and Jennifer Lawrence have created a disturbing ripple in the community. Many of them could not stop themselves from looking at the controversial pictures. Various team members have openly admitted in the discussions that they have "relapsed" from their monthly challenge to abstain from any sorts of pornography after seeing the pictures.
The messages, however, have been removed by the moderator to maintain the sanctity of the group. Some of the members have also asked others if it is "ok" to look at the scandalous pictures.
"You think it's ok to see the leaked pics if it doesn't affect you negatively? It's not always about you, bro. It never was," writes one of the members sniperghosh on the board. The recent nude pictures leak scandal has also prompted the moderator to issue new guidelines that includes removal of messages from threads that talk about those pictures.
