Jennifer Lawrence fans will be excited to know that the Oscar-winning actress is venturing into comedy soon and with no less than "Trainwreck" star Amy Schumer.

In an interview with the New York Times, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" actress let slip that she is currently writing a script for a possible movie with the comedian. The film has yet to be titled, but Lawrence says she and Schumer are already about 100 pages into it.

The actresses' mutual admiration went public after the 34-year-old comedian released "Trainwreck," which also stars Bill Hader. The 25-year-old "Silver Linings Playbook" lead reportedly reached out to Schumer by sending an email and said how much she loved the latter's new movie. The two started exchanging emails that eventually led to text messages, until Schumer invited her to hang out with her friends during a summer vacation in the Hamptons.

"I was like, 'Oh, we're going on a boat tomorrow; you should come. And she was like, 'I think I'm coming," Schumer told Jon Stewart on The Daily Show.

She said that her friends freaked out and screamed when they learned that Hollywood's highest-paid actress was joining their yearly vacation.

"She's the best hang, she was like one of the gang," Schumer added in an Entertainment Weekly report.

Lawrence said that the script they are writing casts them as sisters, but she did not reveal the plot yet. There is also no news on when production will start, who the other actors are, or even who is directing it. But Rolling Stone notes that given Lawrence's A-list status, the project should have no problem coming to fruition.

"We're almost done writing. It just flowed out of us," she said. She mused about how she and the Comedy Central star are "creatively made for each other." She is also flying out to Chicago to meet Schumer and resume writing with the latter's sister Kim, who helped Amy with the "Trainwreck" script.

Aside from the planned movie with Schumer, as well as the upcoming “Hunger Games and “X-Men” films, Lawrence is set to appear on the big screen in "It's What I Do," "Joy" and "Passengers."
