Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly once again teaming with her “The Hunger Games” director Francis Lawrence for the new movie “The Dive.” The film will be produced by the “Avatar” and “Titanic” fame director James Cameron and will tell the story of free drivers who take part in the deep-sea diving competition. Jennifer will portray the female lead in the film. Her character’s name will be Audrey Mestre.

The film is based on a real life story of Audrey Mestre, a deep-sea diver who died during her attempt to break her work record of 557.7 feet. She was the wife of Francisco “Pipin” Ferraras who paid tribute to his wife by diving to the same depth. The reps of Jennifer and Francis are yet to confirm their collaboration for the film, according to The Wrap. The film is being written by Dana Stevens and along with Cameron, Rae Sanchini as well as Barry Josephson of Lightstorm Entertainment will produce the film.

Jennifer reportedly shares great rapport with Francis. She has worked with him on four “The Hunger Games” instalments. She is currently working on the last instalment “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part II” and recently revealed she is not happy with the film coming to an end.

“We just have one scene to do for the end. I'm not happy about it at all," she said according to Interview Magazine. Jennifer plays Katniss Everdeen in the “Hunger Games” franchise. Her character comes from District 12 and later participates in the Hunger Games: a fight to the death. Her indomitable spirit turns her into a symbol of rebellion against the oppressive Capitol.

Jennifer is also gearing up to star in David O. Russell‘s “Joy” as well as Bryan Singer‘s “X-Men: Apocalypse.” In “Joy,” she plays a single mom who struggles her way up to become the most successful entrepreneur in the town. Her character’s name is Joy Mangano. The film is directed by David O. Russell and also stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. Meanwhile, in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” the Oscar-winning actress will reprise her role of Mystique opposite Nicholas Hoult.
