An alleged stalker of Jennifer Lawrence is now facing charges after harassing her brother. Zhao Hang Cong of British Columbia, Canada claimed he just wanted to protect the Oscar winner so he pestered her older brother to get to her.

Cong, 23, allegedly contacted Blaine Lawrence more than 200 times before flying to Louisville, Kentucky, where the Lawrences live, according to the Associated Press.

An affidavit written by FBI Special Agent Richard Boswell III reads that Cong began contacting a certain "B.L.," who is identified in a related state court record as Blaine, Jennifer's older brother, on April 4. Blaine received calls and text messages from "Ted," who was later identified as Cong, on his work mobile phone around 2 am.

All texts and calls, which came from different numbers with area codes in California and Colorado, all were later traced to the Chinese-born Canadian citizen.

At first, Cong wanted Blaine to put him in contact with Jennifer so he could "protect" her. He made references to the Boston Marathon bombings, and even blamed the brother for putting the actress in danger because he was in Boston before the attack.

The alleged stalker made comments about the "bad things" happening to him and his family, but was able to give up his real name and phone number in Canada soon after. He told him that he "wouldn't kill anyone for sure," but said that "all hell's going to break loose" if he got angry, the AP continued.

He also sent email messages, referencing the bible and their relation to Jennifer. As he told Blaine his life story, he claimed that he was her "husband for life."

On April 18, Cong flew to Louisville, maintaining contact with Jennifer's brother.

"Either I find out, or you come and see me, okay?" he apparently told Blaine, as quoted by Boswell. "You got me really upset. When I'm, when I'm upset, let's see what happens, alright?"

The next day, he took a cab to the Indian Hills Police Department to ask about the home address of Jennifer's mother. He was interviewed for three hours, and during which he described himself as the second coming of Jesus. Apparently, Jennifer's mother had what he needed to complete his journey. He was taken into custody and involuntarily hospitalised him for psychiatric evaluation.

He was arrested by the police upon his release from the hospital. FBI agents charged him with interstate stalking and repeated harassing phone communications on Monday.

His attorney, Donald J. Meier, requested a psychiatric exam for his client to determine if the case can proceed.
