Jennifer Lopez has an early supporter for her judging stint in American Idol. Season-six third-placer Melinda Doolittle said Jennifer knows both sides, the business and singing, and this, Doolittle is convinced, would guarantee that Lopez would be "awesome" on American Idol.

"She knows all sides: She knows the business side, the singing side. And really being an artist and an entertainer, I think she's going to be awesome," Melindo told MTV.

Lopez will join Aerosmith frontman Tyler and Randy Jackson on judges' row for Season 10.

Previously, reports said that Lopez agreed for $12 million to sit as judge at the hit singing competion.

Deadline.com claimed that Jennifer Lopez initially demanded $15 million to star on the American Idol, plus a guaranteed motion picture deal and a couple of TV pilots from Fox, Freenmantle, and 19 Entertainment, which produce the show.

However, Lopez' demands for a film and TV programs were turned down by the companies.
